Strategic Sales Lead

Build RAIKU’s international sales.
Take novel packaging material to global markets.
RAIKU is looking for a Strategic Sales Lead to help drive our next stage of growth – developing international customers, winning business and strengthening the sales organisation as production expands.
Our mission is simple but ambitious: replace high-carbon packaging and reduce global plastic pollution. We have developed a 100% natural wood-based packaging material and the modular production technology to manufacture it at scale.
Our commercial journey already includes customers across around 20 countries and work with global brands including LVMH and L’Oréal. RAIKU’s award-winning material is not just sustainable, it is highly praised for its aesthetic looks and great protection.
Now we are looking for that brilliant someone who can build on that foundation.
This is a central, hands-on role: a chance to shape our commercial direction, personally win important business and help develop the team that takes RAIKU further.
The Role
- Develop and execute our international sales strategy. Analyse current business and identify the markets, applications, customers and partnerships where RAIKU can build a strong commercial position.
- Lead opportunities from first contact to repeat business. Develop key accounts, coordinate samples and pilots, negotiate commercial terms and turn interest into orders.
- Build a disciplined sales process. Improve qualification, pipeline management, follow-up and forecasting so we focus on the opportunities that matter.
- Fulfill Your vision as part of the management. Collaborate with our technical, production and operations teams to develop practical customer solutions and align commitments with delivery capabilities. You have a say which products matter and what is needed to be developed next.
- Help develop and grow the sales team. Lead by example, share effective methods and represent RAIKU at international customer meetings, trade fairs and industry events.
What You Bring
- A proven track record in B2B sales, including personally winning and developing customer relationships.
- Experience navigating complex buying processes involving commercial, procurement and technical stakeholders.
- The ability to lead and mentor Your sales team.
- Clear communication in English (other languages can be beneficial), sound commercial judgement and a proactive, collaborative approach.
Experience in packaging, materials, manufacturing or another technically demanding B2B industry is an advantage. International sales experience and the ability to develop others will be particularly valuable.
What We Offer
- A commercially important role in a growing company developing its own material and production technology.
- Real influence over market priorities, products, customer development and how the sales organisation evolves.
- An existing foundation to build on: customer relationships, technical expertise and an international network.
- The opportunity to grow with the business, work on tangible products and help bring natural packaging into wider use.
What Success Looks Like
A clearer focus on the right customers and markets. A qualified pipeline with realistic next steps. More opportunities progressing from samples and trials into orders – and more customers returning for repeat business.
Alongside these results, you will help build a sales approach that the wider team can use and improve.
